With support from Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and Elizabeth II, the Queen of Britain, the first "Sino-Britain School Football Cooperation Program" was started in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Middle School after ten years' preparation. The opening ceremony of the first training courses was held at the same time.

 In the 8-day training period, 73 students will accept lessons and training from six football experts and coaches from Britain and France. Qualified students will receive certificates and the qualifications to use the relevant teaching materials from the FA after the training courses.

The 73 students are from all over the country. Four of them are from Zhongshan. They were selected according to strict criteria. The FA training materials will be used during the training period, in order to demonstrate the concept of football education in Britain, promote this sport, encourage teenagers to love football and cultivate talents for football industry in China.
